Graffiti was found spray-painted outside Kerrey Hall again this morning, around 9:00 a.m. — the fourth such incident of this nature since February.
The graffiti was spray-painted last night at 11:20 p.m., a person who has claimed responsibility for all four incidents told the New School Free Press.
The graffiti — which always refers to Kerrey Hall as “Epstein Hall” and twice has included an open letter to administrators — protests former New School president Bob Kerrey’s connection to convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Kerrey and Epstein, according to investigations by the New School Free Press, shared at least five meals and over a dozen emails after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor. Kerrey told NSFP he only remembered meeting with Epstein once.
In February, the University Student Senate (USS) officially recommended that the university rename the dorm. The university has said they have no plans to rename the residence hall.
