Halloweekend is upon us, and it’s time to get out there and have some fun. Finding plans can be a stressful activity, especially when the expectation involves going out the entirety of the weekend amid crowds of potential wild partygoers. But if you’re looking for festive plans to add to your weekend’s activity roster, check out some of these bars and events that are keeping the spooky spirit alive all weekend long.

Beetle House — 308 E 6th St. (East Village)

Conveniently situated on East 6th Street, not far from Tompkins Square Park, this East Village bar is every Tim Burton lover’s dream. The entire menu is inspired by Burton’s characters and story themes with cocktail names like This Is Halloween Cocktail, Coco Skellington, and Edward’s Lemonade  The interior is what you would expect from a Tim Burton themed bar including “Corpse Bride” themed art, a smokey and dreamlike interior, and striped walls inspired by Beetlejuice’s iconic suit. Reservations are recommended but the bar is always open for walk-ins to get drinks.

Oscar Wilde — W 27th St.

This midtown bar is the perfect spot to check out this weekend if you need a boost of Halloween spirit. The Victorian themed bar is easily one of the most decked out spots in the city come October, covered head-to-toe in spooky decor. Pop in for one of their specialty cocktails off their extensive menu anytime on Halloweekend, or go to their annual costume party Saturday, Oct. 28 for a chance to win a 1st place prize of $1000 for best costume.

Brooklyn Mirage — 140 Stewart Ave.

The Brooklyn based venue is notorious for their all night extravagant events, and this weekend is no different. This year they are hosting the City Fox Halloween Festival. The two-day event (Oct. 27-28.) is on the pricier side starting at $64 a ticket but could be justified for the extensive musical guest list including guests like the Adana Twins and Andhim.  Tickets are on sale now and can be found here.

Flying Fox Tavern — 678 Woodward Ave.

For a quieter and more structured evening this Halloweekend, go to the Flying Fox Tavern in Ridgewood. This year the bar is hosting The Haunting of Woodward Avenue murder mystery dinner on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 27-28): an interactive event where costumes are encouraged, and you enjoy a prix-fixe menu complete with a specialty welcome cocktail. Like the Brooklyn Mirage, this event is more expensive at $66 but includes dinner and a drink in the ticket price.

Watermark  — Pier 15 78 S. St.

This downtown Manhattan venue is perfect if you’re looking for daytime plans this Halloweekend. They are hosting events all weekend starting Friday at 5 p.m. with a Haunted Pier Bash. Other events of the weekend include the Oktober-Fright-Fest all day Saturday and a Spooky Brunch & Sunset Soiree on Sunday. For a full list of events and further details click here
