Craft Lesson Lunch

Lang’s First Year Writing program is hosting their weekly Craft Lunch series on Tuesday, with Rachel Aydt. Aydt will be giving a presentation on “Who Am I – Who Can I Be – in my essay?” Anyone within The New School is welcome to attend, and free food from Kubeh will be served.

Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving

Time: Regular museum hours.

Location: Brooklyn Museum 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn NY

Price: $20-25 for a museum ticket.

A large exhibition consisting of Frida Kahlo’s work is now on display at the Brooklyn Museum, ranging from her self-portraits to her belongings. The exhibit is open until May 12.

Pop-up Fitness: Cycling Class

Haunted Broadway Walking Tour

Time: 1-3 p.m.

Location: Times Square Broadway Plaza

Attention show-tune fans! Join this two hour tour of haunted Times Square, perfect for those looking for something spookier than your average Broadway show. The tour will include visits to haunted theaters, singing of classic songs from shows like Phantom of the Opera, and the history of the area.

SPHERES VR Experience

Time: 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Location: Rockefeller Center, 45 Rockefeller Plaza

Cost: $50

This event is a little on the pricier side, but it has the street cred to back it up. Created by Eliza McNitt, this virtual reality experience that was featured at Sundance and SXSW will bring you into space, as the voices of Millie Bobby Brown and Patti Smith guide you peacefully through the universe.
