As soon as the weather gets nice, the people of Greenwich Village flock to the Union Square Greenmarket to treat themselves with freshly picked apples and perfectly ripened tomatoes.

At the market you’ll find  all kinds of fresh flowers, fruit, bread, meat, and a bunch of other things you probably didn’t know you needed. And the best thing: it’s just a hop, skip, and a jump from the New School’s main campus.
Also, most of the vendors at the market are family-owned, local businesses, so if you’ve been looking to support the local economy, this is the perfect place to do so.

The market is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8am-6pm. The vendors can be found in the North and West sides of Union Square Park.
