Parsons Faculty, Staff Ratify Letter Explaining Vote of ‘No Confidence’ in Executive Dean: Letter Claims Dean of Academic Planning was Forced to Resign

The majority of assembled Parsons School of Design staff and faculty expressed their discontent in the leadership of Executive Dean Rachel Schreiber by way of a vote of no confidence Oct. 20, and have since ratified a letter to the provost explaining the vote. “Following the abrupt, forced resignation of Dean Bourgeois on Monday, October 18th, Executive Dean Schreiber’s communication to full-time faculty and staff on October 19th offered no context or way forward,” the letter, sent on Nov. 9, states.
