Julie Allan is a first-year graduate student in the Creative Publishing and Critical Journalism program at The New School for Social Research. She also holds a BFA in illustration for publication design with minors in creative writing and art history. She has also been working as an editor and creative director at the literary journal Gently Mad Magazine for the past year. In her work, Julie focuses on narratives that frame small aspects of life, looking at the details that form a bigger picture. You can always find her reading or writing at a coffee shop, or walking around parks and museums.
