Loving Pains: Understanding Distance and Celibacy

Published

Loving Pains, a podcast on love and sex, returns with two more episodes, one about maintaining a long distance relationship and another on celibacy and forgiveness.

April Jurado admits that long distance relationships are hard. While many people think they are doomed to fail, April and her boyfriend George are making their relationship work.

In this episode, separated by 3,000 miles April calls her boyfriend George, who attends University of California, Irvine, to talk about some of the struggles they’ve experienced in long distance relationships and how to overcome them.

In our recently released issue, “The Talk,” writer and reporter Taylor Lynch shared her personal experience practicing celibacy after the end of one relationship. In this episode, Taylor reads an excerpt from her piece and talks about spirituality in relationships and how being celibate helped her to become able to forgive.
