Snow Day Event Cancellations And Open Resources

Due to the school’s closure in anticipation for a heavy snowstorm, certain events planned for today around campus have been either cancelled or rescheduled. The following is an assortment of resources available to students today and those disrupted events. Please check for updates on rescheduled dates for the events.

    • University Center: Open 24 hours as an emergency shelter for students
    • University library will be closed and reopen on Wednesday, March 15 at 8:30 a.m.
    • List and PAL libraries are closed. They will reopen Wednesday at normal hours.
    • University Center Cafeteria is open from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
    • All other New School buildings in New York City are closed
    • All residence halls are open.

Cancelled Events:

  • Public Dialogue: Who Sets The National Agenda?
  • Undergraduate Career Prep Session (to be rescheduled)
  • Religious Studies Spring Roundtable: Literary Journalism and Religion
  • Tribute to Poet Bill Knott
  • Student Recital: Nicole Fragala, mezzo-soprano at Mannes

Rescheduled Events:

  • Cyber Insecurity: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Encryption But Were Afraid to Ask will now take place on Tuesday, April 18.
  • Vocal Masterclass with Will Crutchfield will now take place on Tuesday, April 25 in the Glassbox Performing Space.
  • Lecture by pianist Elena Sorokina, Professor at Moscow Conservatory of music, will now be held on Wednesday, April 5 in the Glassbox Performing Space.
