Fashion on 5th is The New School Free Press’ weekly fashion column showcasing the student’s best and most unique looks of the week

Christa Melonae, a student at Parsons, is rocking a Canadian tuxedo in the best way possible, with a light wash denim jacket and jeans, both thrifted and gifted to her. Her black Harley Davidson sweatshirt was purchased at Salvation Army. Her black-and-white checkered slip-on sneakers are classic Vans.

Jacob Seferian, studying Journalism & Design at Lang, wears a zebra-printed brown and black fur coat thrifted from No Relation. He cut his pink shirt himself after it was purchased from Goodwill. “You can cop my style with the glasses,” he said, pointing at Reminiscence, where he purchased the metallic blue heart-shaped specs for only $3. His jeans are from Stella Dallas, a thrift shop in Brooklyn.

Her Urban Outfitters light wash, sequin-embellished jeans are cuffed, revealing her hot pink New Balance kicks underneath. Completing the look, she wears a black scarf bought from Beacon’s Closet and clear framed glasses by Warby Parker.

He created the dark denim tote bag created himself.
