8 Memes That Are A Little Too Relatable To Finals Week

Published

Finals are in full swing and the subsequent feeling of panic has set in.  Students everywhere are berating themselves for not starting their work earlier as they rush to miraculously bring up their grades and complete a semester’s worth of work in one week. So, what better way to get through the next few days  than to further distract yourself by looking at memes that hit a little too close to home?  You’ll laugh, you might even cry, but above all you’ll realize that you’re not the only one struggling. We’re all in this together.

Smile Through the Pain

While that 15 days has unfortunately dwindled down to even fewer, this meme remains applicable to our lives more than ever.  Kudos to you if you can keep a smile on your face despite the tears.

Self Growth

The beginning of the semester – that sweet, brief period of time where we tell ourselves that this is the year things are going to be different and we renounce our procrastinating ways…only to find ourselves in the exact position we knew we’d end up in all along.

Panic Mode

Finals week is a vicious cycle of panic.  Just when you start to feel like you have a grasp on everything, you remember just how quickly those due dates are approaching and just how much work you actually have. Then you suddenly find yourself overwhelmed and unable to do your work, further causing you to panic.  It’s exhausting.

Treat Yo’ Self

Writing a header can be taxing and everyone should stress the importance of self-care in surviving finals, so why not treat yourself to a little rest and relaxation? Plus, while you take a break you can mull over the daunting next task: writing the title.

Organization is Key

Keeping a tight schedule is imperative to getting all your work done during finals. You couldn’t possibly start a minute late when it runs the risk of completely ruining your whole schedule. It’s best just to start an hour later and go from there (plus, you get another much deserved break).

Too Far Gone

Every student at some point in their academic career has found themselves deep into writing a paper, only to realize that it’s completely incoherent.  When this happens, especially during finals week, sometimes the best thing to do is just finish it…

Let it Go

…and then let it go.  Turning in an essay can be a great feeling but turning in anything during finals week often feels a lot like throwing out the trash.  The best thing to do is to submit your paper and never revisit it again.  Just be proud you turned it in.

I Wish, I Wish

Repeating this unfortunately won’t finish all your finals for you, but if you do say it with enough conviction you might actually start to believe that you’ll make it out to the other side OK.
